Ouroboros - Life

This piece was created for, and juried into, the Crooked Tree Art Center 2015 Member's show.   This painting has a great deal of symbolism.  It is the Tree of Life with its roots securely planted and it branches budding new life/leaves.  It depicts light and dark, day and night, Earth, Air, Water, Fire.  There is the Yin and Yang symbol and the symbols for man and woman.  Additionally, the large infinity symbol made from the snake/serpent is an Ouroboros.  Ouroboros is usually depicted by a serpent or a dragon eating its tail.  It is a symbol that shows the continuity of life, cyclicality, self-reflection, etc.

Sold unframed unless otherwise arranged with artist.
